Our Mission is to provide Essential STEAM Skills + Tech Equity
The mission of We Create Tech (WCT) is to bridge the digital divide by increasing the number of underrepresented and underserved youth preparing for careers in STEAM fields. We do this by designing engaging and accessible learning experiences in coding, audio, video, film, and virtual reality. Founded in 2022 by Shana Digital, an educator and passionate tech advocate since 2008, WCT is dedicated to empowering youth through innovative, technology-based education.
As a Community Anchor Institution, we provide essential educational services, giving students of all backgrounds access to the skills and tools they need to succeed in today’s tech-driven world. Our programs leverage years of educational expertise and cutting-edge technology to inspire, educate, and prepare students for thriving careers in the tech industry. Whether through our Learning Management System (LMS), virtual programs, or in-person events, we make tech education accessible to communities that need it most.
We envision a world where every student, regardless of their background, has equal opportunities to excel in technology and innovation. Through our diverse programs and community-based initiatives, we strive to create a more inclusive and representative tech community, empowering the next generation of tech leaders.

Our structure for developing WCT is the Community of Inquiry Model. We chose this model because it encompasses all the elements of Cognitive, Social, and Teaching, and allows direct alignment to inspiring self-paced learning.
Live workshops allow you to experience hands on instruction and learn with an instructor in real time for immediate feedback, & meet other students that are exploring interest in a STEAM field offered by WCT.
At our most recent event students left understanding the fundamentals of coding and also music development and production. Not to mention students left the event with their own original instrumental beat.
Fall 2023 students will be able to login into our virtual platform with their own individual login and go through a facilitated curriculum online that is self paced. They can start and stop at their leisure to complete various modules.
